How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders placed are individually handmade in the order in which they’re received. This is a one man shop, turnaround time varies depending on how many orders are in queue. Three weeks is usually safe. However, special occasions an holidays can increase turnaround time. Please plan ahead.

What type of leather do you use?

The majority of the products made here at Victory Handcraft are crafted from vegetable tanned and/or bridal leather. Depending on the item you chose, we also use chrome tanned and some oil tanned hides. Be assured that we use only top quality hides from renowned tannery’s such as Wicket and Craig, Walpier, and Chahin Leather. Each item description will inform of the type of leather used.

It looks like the same color can vary. Why are there slight differences?

The tanning process is intricate, and each tannery uses its own particular methods to achieve their beautifully tanned hides. Some types of hides have almost zero variance in color. Others can vary much more. There are a variety of reasons shades can vary, even on the same hide, this is quite normal. However, whenever I cut pieces to create any given order, I ensure that all of the parts come from the same section to ensure even consistency of the final product.

My agency is not in the dropdown menu in the Kojak series. Can I order a specific badge shape?

Yes indeed. We can cut any badge shape. Also, for our local, county, and state law enforcement that use a single DL sized police identification, vice the two piece federal credentials, we can modify any Kojak wallet. Instead of the two piece credential, we place a window on the flap for your police ID.

Do you have a color pallet page for the colors of leather you have on hand?

No, I normally do not have a page that shows the colors of leather that I have on hand. However, take a look at our instagram page @victoryhandcraft, each post has the color of leather used. You can also shoot us a message to ask about a particular shade, or color scheme you’d like.

Do you recommend any particular leather care products?

There are many leather care products on the market. The type of leather can lend to the choice of leather balm, conditioner and/or cleaner. For small leather products that are in constant rotation such as wallets, generally, the oils from our hands and the rubbing inside of your pocket is suffice to maintain your wallet as the beauty of patina slowly forms. For leather items that get a bit harder use, or maybe not used in often, there are products such as Smiths leather balm, mink oil, and neatsfoot oil. But, I find that I most often reach for Bick 4 leather conditioner.

I’ve been using one of your Kojak wallets and am changing agencies but my new badge is completely different

Not a problem. I’ll switch out your badge panel for free, and give your wallet a conditioning while I’m at it. You pay for shipping to me, and I’ll take care of shipping it back. Just shoot me a message and we’ll work it out.
